Elevation is a story about a man named Scott Carey who is losing weight steadily. He trusts Doctor Bob Ellis and wants someone else to know about his mysterious affliction. The story is set in Castle Rock, where Scott is engaged in a battle with his neighbors. The people of Castle Rock are not accepting of a gay married couple who are trying to launch a new restaurant.
